About Salma Public School

Founded in 1993 in the elegant ancestral home of Zahoor Siddiqui and Nishat Saiyada in Rataul village, Salma Public School is a government recognized school delivering modern, secular, values-based education to children from marginalised, mostly Muslim, families in rural Western Uttar Pradesh. What started with 30 students and two teachers is today a vibrant institution with 500+ children in Playschool through Class 5, and 30+ dedicated staff.

Quality Primary Education

Delivering NEP and NCERT-aligned structured teaching and curriculum to predominantly underprivileged Muslim students, from Playschool through Class 5.

Girl Education & Retention

40% of our students are girls - many from families where education for girls is not the default. At SPS, it is.

After School Learning Program

The school runs an after hours classes program for children who require extra attention, or have limited means of studying at home.
